Our spring session is right around the corner and we are excited to see everyone back in the park! If you are looking for easy and fun ways to keep active, happy, and engaged this spring, we’ve got you covered.

Online Registration Began*
- Monday, March 8 at 9am for parks west of California
- Tuesday, March 9 at 9am for parks east of California; Gymnastic Centers at Noon
In-Person Registration begins*
- Friday, March 12 at your local park

Park programs are for everyone! Along with our virtual programs, you will see an expanded offering of in-person options as well. Here are a few highlights of our spring offerings.
Early ChildhoodDino Diggers, Little Yogis, Arts & ABCs, Twinkle Star Gymnastics, Soccer, T-ball are just some of the Early Childhood virtual and in-person offerings.
Youth
- Spring Break is almost here! Keep kids active in one of our Spring Break Camps. Camp runs March 29-April 2.
- Our in-person after-school program, Park Kids is an excellent way for kids 6-12 to get out and stay active.
- We offer after-school programs from Sports to Arts and Fitness to Gymnastics programs to keep your children engaged.
TeensWe have some awesome opportunities for you to get involved in the parks! If you are an athlete, we have sports to keep your skills fresh. If you enjoy the arts, we have a number of creative options including Hip Hop dance, Play Production, and Guitar. If you are into fitness, we have our popular Fit Box program and a Walking Club. If you like hanging out with your friends in a social setting, we would love to see you get involved with one of our Teen Leadership/Teen Club groups.
Adults/Seniors
- We have expanded our organized walking clubs to 68 parks across the city. Once you start walking with us, you will find that your body and mind will quickly convince you just how important and beneficial a simple walk is to your overall health.
- Many seniors have been enjoying our online programs! We have Fitness, Crafts, Bingo, Yoga and so much more. Don’t miss a chance to connect with friends and make new ones.
Special RecreationStaying active this spring our Special Recreation programs will once again offer online programs. Participants will enjoy a variety of activities, from creating crafts, cooking, and fitness to visiting with friends in our social clubs

All COVID-19 guidelines will be followed for in-person classes, including smaller class sizes, a requirement to wear masks, and social distancing. The District will follow swimming pool guidance from the State of Illinois.
